Zippo Blu

This Zippo lighter is a very recent model, and owns new(not better) characteristics than the original design.
It's most attractive feature is it's characteristic ''Blue'' flame as the name clearly states. Another feature is that it works by using 'Butane', a special type of gas that is pretty much the reason of the unusual blue color of the flame, ergo, it has a gas switch incorporated under the thumb wheel. As always, it starts at the first flick as any normal Zippo lighter, and counts with the famous ''click'' sound, signature of a Zippo lighter. The chimney has a ''Z'' pattern, giving the lighter a different & unique look. It is a nice detail, as well as the fact that the lighter itself is kinda in a rectangular fashion instead of the square Zippo models we are all used to. That's all that there is to the Zippo Blu, everything else remains the same with the exception of the wick, now replaced with a gas valve. I'm planning to get one really soon since I really like the new features and want to try something different from Zippo so far. The only problem is with the price itself, which has risen considerably to an esteem between $30 and $60, depending on wether you buy it on the net of in a Zippo store, and mostly of the model. One of  its most attractive features is that is one of, if not the only,  Butane torch lighter that uses a flint and a strike wheel. Also, the ''Jet Flame'' has been modified so that it is even more wind proof than before, and that the flame can ''burn'' something at the distance of 4 inches.

NOTE: There are some downs according to this particular Zippo lighter. There are some things one shouldn't do if in possession of a Zippo Blu because in doing so one would end voiding the Lifetime guarantee.

1.-  NEVER TAMPER WITH THE SCREW IN THE FAR END OF THE BASE, since it has a very slim layer of  ''silicone'', meaning that if one should ever try to remove the casket, the guarantee would nullify and become as VOID. The flame is non adjustable;  The Jet  flame stays at the same level. This might be a bit of a problem since one that uses the lighter a lot could reduce the flame level in order to conserve more fuel, or graduate it to a higher degree to burn things quicker. Still, i don't think that's too much of an issue.

2.- By unknown meanings, the Zippo factories state in the guarantee that if the Zippo Blu lighter is FILLED WITH NO OTHER THAN THE BUTANE ZIPPO GAS BRAND, the guarantee would also void, so be careful.
